Why Apprenticeships?

Are you an apprentice? Do you want to be an apprentice? Are you bored of the same news? Tired of waiting for the summer or wanting it to be Christmas again? Well, have a read of my new blog about my first few months at Changeworks Communications and why I wanted to become an apprentice.
I will start off with the juicy news! Why be an apprentice?

That is the question I asked myself, now I really know. I completed a two year course at Stafford College where I studied a Level 3 Diploma in Business; I then had the hassle from my family, ‘where are you going to university?’ This just wasn’t for me, so I thought why not earn and learn at the same time. Kicking off your career with an apprenticeship is a great way to get a head start in the field you want to work in. Apprenticeships enable you to start working and earn a decent wage while you learn key skills and gain the qualification that future employers want. I gained the opportunity to work for Changeworks Communications in Stafford where I am involved in public and media relations, marketing communications, social media, internal communication, content marketing, video and photography and PR and comms training.

Why be an apprentice in the PR and marketing industry? You really can be the best. When you start an apprenticeship, you will learn to do the work you love and have the chance to gain a qualification that will take you further into your career – everyone wants to hire the best! Jobs that start with an apprenticeship are highly skilled, and they are high in demand. After all, not everyone can do one of these jobs! It takes specialised training, which you will gain through your apprenticeship.
I have gained the chance to work with many clients and seek new opportunities. It’s been three months or so and I am already being offered the opportunity to experience graphic design! Apprenticeships are really something you can prosper in and it looks amazing on your CV!
